9:04PM, a Tuesday

A stranger picks a shop.

New in the neighborhood, he types “barber near me.” Two shops, same five stars. Two blocks over has a review from three days ago. Yours is from April. Watch it age. He books the other one and never knows you existed.

Nothing about your work changed. Only the date did. Google shows the newest reviews first, and you are busy, so nobody asks. The customers who love you would leave one. That is the whole gap.

Example. Made-up shops and reviews.

That was one Tuesday. Here is the whole month.

Day ten: the card goes on the counterExample. Not a real shop.

You, last month1
  1. Week one

The chair is full. The phone is quiet.

Great work all week. On Google, nothing. Two blocks over, the newer shop picks up two reviews.

  2. Day ten, the turn

    Asking becomes a habit.

A small card at the counter. One short text after the visit. Every customer, same ask. No pressure, no tricks.

  3. Week three

    The first ones land.

A few a week, from people who mean it. In their words, not yours. Each one answered within a business day.

  4. October 1

One report shows you where you stand.

And where you were. Next to the shops nearby, with the date on it, on the first of every month.

How it works

We look. We set you up.
We keep it going.

  1. 1free

    We look.

Tell us the shop. A one-page report comes back: where you stand this month, next to the shops nearby. Yours to keep, whether you buy anything or not.

  2. 2the first 30 days

    We set you up.

We design your cards, write the text you send after a visit, and show your front desk how to ask. We tidy your Google listing and answer your recent reviews, with your OK first.

  3. 3every month

    We keep it going.

Optional. We answer every new review within a business day and send the card files again when you run low. A new report on the first of every month, so you can see it move.

What it costs

Three things.
The first look is free.

  1. The first look

A one-page report: how your shop is doing on Google reviews this month, next to the shops nearby. Yours to keep, whether you buy anything or not.

    Free
  2. The first 30 days

    • Your counter card and wallet cards, designed with a code that opens your Google reviews
    • The short text you send after a visit, saved on your phone
    • One visit to show your front desk how to ask
    • Your newest 25 unanswered reviews answered in your words, with your OK first
    • Your Google listing tidied: hours, description, photos
    • A before-and-after report on day 30

No set-up fee. Card designs included. Printing is yours, about $15 to $25 at a print shop.

    $99for 30 days
  3. Keeping it going

    • Every new review answered within a business day, in your words
    • A new report on the first of the month: where you stand next to the shops nearby
    • Card files sent again whenever you run low
    • Optional. Keep going on your own after day 30 if you like. Everything we set up stays yours

No long contract. Month to month.

$149a monthAbout five dollars a day.

Founding rate. $149 a month is our founding rate for the first ten shops. If you are one of the ten, it stays $149 for as long as you stay with us.

Need more than reviews? Once yours are moving, we can run your Google listing and your social pages too. Both are on the studio page. Reviews are where it starts.

Things you can hold.

No dashboard, no login. A page in your hand, a card on the counter, a text on your phone.

The first look. Free.A one-page report: your shop against ten nearby, counted on a date, with three things to do next. Handed to you or texted. Yours to keep.

The counter card.In a small frame by the register. Every customer gets the same ask.

The wallet cards. For the ones who say “later.” They take one home.

The text.Saved on your phone. You send it once, within a day of the visit.

Day 30. Before and after. The same numbers, counted again on day 30, next to where you started. What we did, dated. Then it is your call whether to keep going.

A and M, the two people who run Cerise

Run by A & M, two people in Los Angeles.

We never buy, fake or filter reviews. Same ask for every customer, and what they write is theirs. That is the FTC’s rule, and it is ours. More about the studio.

Questions we get

Shouldn’t I just run ads?
Every owner asks about ads first. But watch what a customer does after they see your ad. They search your name, look at your stars and the date on your last review, and then they decide. If your last review is from the spring, the ad paid to send them to the shop next door. So we start where the customer decides. Reviews first. Ads after, if you still need them.
Do you do anything besides reviews?
Reviews are where we start, because that is where customers decide. Once yours are moving, ask us about what comes next: your Google listing, social posts, ads. We will tell you plainly whether it is worth it for your shop.
What am I paying for each month?
Your time. Someone reads every new review and answers it within a business day, in your words. On the first of the month you get a report that shows where you stand next to the shops nearby. If you would rather do that yourself after the first 30 days, you can. Everything we set up stays yours.
Are you building me a website?
No. We work on your Google listing, the one people see when they search for a shop like yours. The report we send is a single sheet with your numbers on it.
Where do the numbers on my report come from?
Your Google listing and the listings of the shops near you. Anyone can see them. We put them side by side, with the date on the report.
Do I have to give you my Google password?
No. You add us as a helper on your Google listing. You can remove us any time.
Can you get rid of a bad review?
Only Google can, and only when it breaks their rules. What we do is answer it well and get fresh reviews coming, so it sits lower in your reviews.
What if I stop?
No long contract. You keep everything: the cards, the text, the tidy Google listing, and every monthly report we sent.
